YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

That's all I have to say.

Actually, no, that's a lie. I FREAKING LOVE THIS!! I love the colors and the texture you gave Dagre! I love how you portrayed his unsettling nightmarish presence, I can feel my spine tense up every time I scroll up to look at it. XD HOORAH ARMADA!!

I've been overwhelmed, man! <8'D After gearing up for Fanime, I just kind of died and every time I looked at DA I got overwhelmed by all the updates and art that I just gave up and meandered somewhere else. XD I've actually been working away on editing my novel! And doing Shakespeare. But now that I've had a bit of a rest, I'm trying to get back into the DA scene!

What about you man? 8D What's up? How've you been? <8D

It sounds like you've been keeping busy and productive! I sometimes get overwhelmed with DA too when I'm gone for too long. I just end up deleting everything in my inbox (unless it's a comment since I like to go through those and answer them when I can)
I've been super stressed and busy! I lost my job a few months back (I don't know how long it's been since we chatted last) but I've been temping from place to place and trying to keep myself afloat. It's been hard dealing with not having a stable job and I haven't found anything yet but I can definitely say it's been an adventure so far and I've grown a lot from the experience. Right now I'm temping at CBS in Beverly Hills and I'm learning a lot. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll find my place in the working world again soon.

Yeah, same here! Same here. I need to start reading more journals and just take my time with DA, but I watch so many awesome artists it's hard to keep up with everyone sometimes! Everyone else seems so productive sometimes, it beleaguers me when I throw up a pencil sketch when I see others throwing up spasms of awesome digital art. But then again, I haven't been really sitting down and doing artwork lately. July is the month for that, I'm going to try and hold myself to it.

Oh no! D'8> I remember you telling me you had your job in the theater. I'm sad to hear that you lost it. It's a hard economy nowadays, it's hard to hold on to them and find them once you've slipped free. You have to be stubborn though, be stubborn and strong! Don't let anything back you down. If you have a particular place you're interested in, bother them, harass them, prove to them that THAT is what you WANT and that you will be a good asset to their company. In the meanwhile, become a Jack of all trades!

Whoa this is quite spectacular! I'm not familiar with this comic at all but after looking at this picture, I wish I was.

Tigers are my favorite animals and the way you've portrayed this one is not only awesome but very disturbing. What first caught my eye was that sinister grin and the red "stuff" coming out of his mouth; at first I thought it was blood but after looking closely, I noticed a really long tongue and what looks to be a mush of torn lips/gums. The eyes are so eerie with that ethereal white glow and the mark on his forehead looks like it could be a 3rd eye. I absolutely love the clawed paws and your skill with the tiger's body, musculature and fur; the texture's absolutely amazing. I also like how the ball he's clutching looks like earth; does he want to control the world?

My most favorite part of this piece however is the coloring and effects. The way you added the black ink on the tiger's body gives the impression that this guy is just oozing and dripping with some kind of malevolent scheme, as if it's so horrible that it's hard to keep it hidden in his heart. Or perhaps it's a dark past/life drenched in his own body? He looks almost like he may have been a tortured circus animal and yet, he's smiling sinisterly :fear: The "blood" stains are a very nice touch, indeed; it definitely contributes to the dark atmosphere of this picture. The hairs on his tail that are lying on the floor is also a nice touch and reflects your keen attention to details.

Beyond excellent job, my friend! This has become a personal favorite of mine :D I  it, definite :+fav: As always, keep up the fantastic work!

If you like the character you should read the Meek! It's only into the second chapter so you don't have to play too much catch-up. It's good stuff and Dagre is my favorite

It's awesome to see more fans of Der-shing! Such a great comic, really.

A spectacular piece, you really captured the feel of Dagre - that sense of hunger and wrongness that it emanates. I like the expression, too... definitely not your generic tiger art, just look at that slight sneer, those jowls, and those TEETH. Rawr.

Vicious. Ravenous. Chaos.

Great work. Ima watch yew nao. n__n

Der is awesome! We went to high school together (though we really didn't become close until we re-connected on DA in college). I love Dagre's design. He's so.. disturbing. Sometimes I wonder what his voice must sound like. I bet he sounds as creepy as he looks! XD

Aha, connection in real life! That makes the art even more special.

I imagine Dagre with George Sander's voice (aka: Shere Khan of Jungle Book), only more watery and other-worldly with a slow and staccato rhythm to his speech.

So cool n__n

I did! I brewed some Irish breakfast tea and let it steep for a few hours. I added coffee after I realized it wasn't dark enough so it became a tea/coffee mixture. XD It smelled really weird.

Okay, so I finally tried it! Tea/coffee
I heated up some water and made some mint tea and let it seep a while. I wanted to use regular coffee but I found out we were out of filters, so I just mixed some instant coffee in the tea instead.

I tried it at first with no additives... X_x It was horrible. Bitter and minty, and icky, I would not recommend it to anyone.
I added a bit of powdered creamer, and that made it a whole lot better, gave it some flavor that bounced off the mint flavor nicely, but there was still this general un-tastiness about it.
I don't really know what to make of it o___o

Well if it makes you feel any better, I used PS to enhance the color and texture of the paint. In person it's not as "bloody" looking and is more of a brown color. If you end up going to SDCC, I'll bring you the original. :3
